Team Moonraker today celebrated a return to the top step of the podium with a win in the Minnes-Arres race. The win heralds the teams first result for a month and first win in over a season. The win was also the first win for Alan Poston, who became the team leader during the past season.
"It's great to get another win under our belt, we finally feel like we're back on track" says team manager Alister Waters. "Sure it's only in Division E and we have been two divisions higher, but we know some of the areas we can build on now and we know our strengths. To get the win at Minnes-Arres as well is particularly welcome as we performed well here last year."
The team finished with a second and third place in the last edition of Minnes-Arres and the win gives a much needed boost to team spirits.
"As a whole the mood in the team has been a bit down lately, but now we have a win things should pick up." Winner Alan Poston explains. "For me it is amazing. I've been searching for this maiden race win for ages and to finally get the monkey off my back is a great relief."
The team declined to say which races they are targeting for the rest of the season but did announce an aim to win more races and break back into the higher divisions.
